Website access and hosting

This static website is delivered through Cloudflare Pages. When you access it, the hosting provider processes connection data required for technical delivery. This may include your IP address, the time and destination of the request, the amount of data transferred, the referrer, browser and operating-system information, and status and security data.

This processing is necessary to deliver the website, maintain its stability and security, and prevent misuse. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the secure and reliable provision of this website.

The recipient and processor is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Processing in the United States and other countries cannot be ruled out. Cloudflare relies, among other safeguards, on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and, where necessary, Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the European Economic Area.

Contact by email

If you contact us by email, the data you provide will be processed. This will usually include your email address, your name, the content of your message, and any other information you provide voluntarily.

The processing is used to handle and answer your enquiry. Where the enquiry concerns entering into or performing a contract, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. In all other cases, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and the legitimate interest in appropriate communication.

The mailbox uses Gmail, a Google service. Data may be processed by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and affiliated companies in third countries. Further information is available in the Google Privacy Policy.

Cookies, analytics and embedded services

The website does not use its own cookies and does not use analytics, marketing, or tracking services. No external media, maps, or social media plugins are embedded. In individual cases, Cloudflare may use cookies that are technically necessary for security functions.

The fonts, images, and videos used on the website are served locally. Merely opening the website therefore does not establish a connection to Google Fonts, YouTube, LinkedIn, or comparable content providers.

External links

This website contains a link to LinkedIn. Data is only transmitted to that provider when you open the link. The external provider is responsible for processing on its website.

Retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose. Email enquiries are deleted after they have been fully handled unless statutory retention requirements or legitimate interests prevent deletion. Technical connection and security data is deleted or anonymised in accordance with the periods applied by the hosting provider.

Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.
